Worlds End Farm began as a breeding operation in the early 1990’s, after the purchase of LF Diamond Rose from Horseshoe Lake Arabians of Lake Elmo, MN. Prior to acquiring this mare, my involvement with horses had been with geldings, both for show and pleasure. She was my foundation mare and little did I know at the time how she would change my life. She had four foals before her untimely death in 2001 at the age of fourteen, but that was enough to leave her mark on the Arabian horse. Both of my stallions are her sons and I have her daughter, Tempered Steele, by Rhemington Steele. Her *TS Al Malik daughter, WF Al Malika, is proudly owned by the Malika Partners and is producing quality babies. Worlds End Farm would never have existed without her.
The farm sits on twenty-five rolling acres and
is a twenty-four stall facility complete with an indoor arena, a square sand
arena and a full-sized grass dressage arena.
The stallions are advertised regularly in major publications such as The Arabian Horse Times, local club magazines and extensive internet advertising. I will happily promote the stallion off-spring on the website and any other appropriate venue to assist in marketing for clients.
The focus of my breeding program is on the beautiful athlete. I do not breed for living works of art, but rather artful riding horses. The main interest on the farm is the sport horse, specifically the dressage horse, and I accomplish this by using breeding stock which has correct conformation, a free moving shoulder, strong hindquarters and good use of the hocks, along with willing attitudes. I have shown horses from time to time in the halter arena and find that if the horse is properly trained and handled there isn’t a problem going from halter to riding and I have found, when properly done, that it is very good discipline training for stallions. The halter arena is also a good place to display a correct using horse because halter is such a valued venue in the Arabian industry. To this end, I campaigned WF Last Of Roses in his three year old year to a Class A Champion 3 Year Old Stallion, a Region X Top Five Stallion and a Canadian National Top Ten Futurity Colt! He will continue his career from hereon in the dressage ring.
I occasionally cross the Lipizzan onto Arab, which gives me a horse with wonderful gaits, a natural ability to collect and, so far, a more reaching extension then the purebred Lipizzan. These are extremely fun horses to own and ride!
No
matter what the discipline, Worlds End Farm horses are suited to work and
play. They make good family pets as well as hard working show horses. You
may buy one ready-made or create your own Rose and it won’t be your
Last. You are guaranteed to be Impressed and it won't cost you a Mint! Visitors
are always welcome.
